About Us
Built by a licensed Arizona general contractor who got tired of watching good contractors waste money on marketing that does not work. We teach what actually drives jobs, review every platform honestly, and build growth systems you own.
Our Mission
Arizona Contractor Academy exists for one clear reason: to help licensed Arizona contractors stop wasting money on shared leads and start building marketing systems they actually own and control. We combine real-world construction industry experience with data-driven digital marketing to give contractors something they have never had before — an honest, unbiased resource built specifically for the Arizona market.
The contracting industry in Arizona is booming. The Phoenix metro area alone adds tens of thousands of new residents every year. Tucson is growing. Flagstaff's tourism-driven economy creates constant demand for remodeling and maintenance. But most contractors are not capturing their fair share of this growth because they are stuck paying for shared leads, relying on word-of-mouth alone, or working with marketing agencies that do not understand the construction business.
We built ACA to change that. Every guide we write, every platform we review, and every growth system we build is designed to put contractors in the driver's seat of their own marketing. You should not have to compete with five other contractors for the same lead. You should not have to wonder whether your marketing dollars are working. And you should not need a computer science degree to get found on Google.
Our Story
Arizona Contractor Academy was founded by a licensed Arizona general contractor holding ROC license number 335770. This is not a story about a marketing agency that decided to target contractors. This is the story of a contractor who learned digital marketing the hard way — by spending years in the Arizona construction industry, making every mistake in the book with lead generation, and eventually figuring out what actually works.
After building and scaling multiple contracting businesses across Arizona, a pattern became impossible to ignore. Good contractors — skilled tradespeople who do excellent work — were consistently losing jobs to competitors who were simply better at marketing. Not better at their craft. Not more reliable. Just more visible online. Meanwhile, the marketing options available to most contractors were either overpriced, misleading, or both.
Shared lead platforms like Angi and Thumbtack were selling the same lead to three, four, sometimes five contractors at once. Pay-per-click advertising was burning through budgets with no clear ROI. Marketing agencies were locking contractors into long-term contracts, building websites the contractor did not own, and delivering vague monthly reports that never translated into actual jobs booked.
ACA was built to fix all of that. We created a platform where contractors can get real education based on real performance data, read honest reviews of every major lead generation platform, and access done-for-you growth systems that actually deliver measurable results. Everything we recommend is backed by firsthand experience in the Arizona contracting market — not theory from a textbook or a sales pitch from a platform that profits from your ad spend.
What Makes Us Different
Most contractor marketing resources are created by one of two groups: the lead gen platforms themselves (who have an obvious bias) or generic marketing agencies that apply the same playbook to dentists, restaurants, and roofers. Neither understands what it is actually like to run a contracting business in Arizona.
We understand because we have lived it. We know what it feels like to show up to an estimate and realize two other contractors got the same lead you paid sixty dollars for. We know the frustration of a beautiful website that generates zero phone calls. We understand the Arizona ROC licensing system, the seasonal patterns in the construction industry, and the difference between marketing a roofing company in Phoenix versus a window installer in Flagstaff.
That firsthand experience shapes everything we do. When we review a lead generation platform, we evaluate it through the lens of an actual Arizona contractor — what does the cost per lead really look like after you account for shared leads, bad phone numbers, and tire-kickers? When we write a guide on local SEO, we include the specific strategies that work in Arizona's competitive metro markets, not generic advice that might apply anywhere in the country.
This is why contractors trust us. We are not selling leads. We are not an agency looking for retainer clients. We are a resource built by someone who has been in the trenches of Arizona construction and wants to help other contractors avoid the same expensive mistakes.
Our Approach
We focus on three pillars that give contractors long-term, sustainable growth instead of renting leads month to month.
We optimize your Google Business Profile and build local SEO systems that put you at the top of search results when homeowners in your area search for your trade. These are leads that come directly to you — no middleman, no sharing.
Every recommendation we make is backed by real keyword data, search volume analysis, and conversion tracking specific to Arizona contractor markets. We do not guess — we measure what works and double down on it.
We build automated lead capture and follow-up systems that ensure you never miss a potential customer. From speed-to-lead automation to review generation, every piece of the system is designed to convert searches into booked jobs.
When we partner with a contractor for done-for-you growth systems, we only work with one contractor per trade per service area. If you are our painting contractor in Scottsdale, no other painter in Scottsdale gets our system. Your investment generates leads that go exclusively to you — never shared, never resold. This is the opposite of how platforms like Angi and Thumbtack operate, and it is why our contractors see dramatically better close rates.
Arizona Expertise
Arizona is not one market — it is several, each with unique challenges, seasonal patterns, and competitive dynamics. We know them all.
The most competitive contractor market in Arizona. Over 4.5 million residents, year-round demand, and a saturated Google Maps pack. We know exactly what it takes to stand out in Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, and Tempe.
Arizona's second-largest market with a distinct customer base and different competitive landscape than Phoenix. Lower ad costs but unique challenges with seasonal snowbirds and university-area demographics.
A smaller market with higher-value projects driven by tourism, second homes, and mountain-climate construction needs. Shorter seasons, different building codes, and less online competition create unique opportunities.
Our Values
We tell you exactly what works, what does not, and what the real costs are. No affiliate bias, no hidden agendas. If a platform is terrible for contractors, we say so plainly. If a strategy only works in certain markets, we tell you that too.
You should own your leads, your website, your data, and your online reputation. We build systems where you keep control of everything. If you ever stop working with us, you keep every asset we built — your site, your rankings, your reviews.
Every recommendation we make is backed by real performance data from real Arizona contractors. We track what actually converts into booked jobs, not vanity metrics like impressions or clicks that do not pay the bills.
We are not a national play. Every guide, review, and strategy is tailored specifically to Arizona's contractor market, ROC regulations, and competitive landscape. We understand the difference between marketing in Phoenix in July versus Flagstaff in January.
