Quote planning guide

Phoenix HVAC Replacement Cost Planning

There is no reliable universal replacement price. A written quote should be based on the property, scope, equipment, access, code requirements, and provider terms.

Information a quote should address

  • How equipment size and design were determined
  • Equipment model and efficiency information
  • Duct, electrical, drain, controls, pad, and access work included
  • Permit and inspection responsibility
  • Labor, manufacturer, and installer warranty terms
  • Removal, cleanup, exclusions, payment schedule, and change order process

Compare equivalent scopes

A lower total may exclude work included elsewhere. Ask each bidder to identify assumptions, allowances, optional work, and the exact equipment being proposed.

Verify the provider

Use the contractor verification guide and confirm the current ROC record and classification for the work. Verify insurance separately because an ROC license does not by itself prove general liability coverage.
