How to Verify an Arizona Contractor

Verification Checklist

  1. Search the legal business name and license number with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors.
  2. Confirm that the license is current and covers the work you need.
  3. Ask for current insurance information and verify it with the provider.
  4. Review recent references and completed projects.
  5. Get the scope, price, payment schedule, change process, and warranty in writing.
  6. Confirm who will obtain required permits.
